The Upper Hunter resident won the guaranteed first prize in the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw after purchasing the winning entry at Scone Newsagency.
Speaking to an official from The Lott yesterday after being told of her win, the Muswellbrook woman said she was going to have a glass or two of bubbly to celebrate.
"This means so much," the woman told The Lott.
"Things have been tough lately, and the pandemic certainly hasn't helped.
Scone Newsagency owner David O'Donnell said the team was excited a loyal local customer had picked up a winning ticket from their outlet.
"It's always wonderful when our customers win big, especially when they're local," Mr O'Donnell said.
"We've recently relocated our store, so it's great when our customers follow and support us.
"We're over the moon for the winner and wish them a big congratulations."
The winning ticket holder said her priority would be to help her children and grandchildren with the prize money.
"We're all going on a family holiday soon and this will come just in time," she said.
"Who knows, maybe this is a sign to retire!"
According to The Lott, Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot and Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot are raffle-style games, which means there is a set number of tickets in each draw.
As each ticket number is unique there is no sharing of prizes.
The Lott said in 2021, more than 130.8 million winners took home over $3.79 billion in prize money from its lotteries.
